Belal ElMegharbel

Belal ElMegharbel is the Co-founder and CEO of Maxab, an e-commerce platform that connects brands to grocery and food retailers in Egypt. After graduating from Virginia Tech, ElMegharbel moved back to Egypt to work for the regional ride-hailing startup Careem. During his tenure there, he worked as GM for Cairo and Alexandria, while also launching new services such as Careem bikes.

With a passion for optimization, he is using innovative technologies  to reengineer the grocery ecosystem in Africa.
