Dalia Abd-Allah

Senior Director | AUC Innovation Hub

Dr. Dalia Abd-Allah is an Egyptian professional / consultant with more than 18 years of experience in innovation, SMEs and startups support, organizational development, industrial support, policy design, moderation & facilitation, negotiating sensitive issues with international government and corporate entities, and facilitating national and global supply chain linkages. She is currently a Senior Director at the American University in Cairo’s Innovation Hub. 


She had led an international public fund supporting and facilitating business innovation schemes resulting in more than $50 million of investment, creation of 1,500 to 2,000 jobs across more than 700 SMEs and startups. Policy-wise, she acted for five years at the Egyptian Cabinet of Minister of International Cooperation as the Desk Officer for economic & trade cooperation between the Egyptian Government and European Financing Institutions including: European Commission in Cairo, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development as well as European Investment Bank. Moreover, she also has 10+ years of experience managing and leading multicultural teams. In addition to various local and global consultancy assignments as a Subject Matter Expert in fields of corporate innovation, SME and startup support schemes including access to finance and investment, as well as international business. 


Abd-Allah is also an Adjunct Faculty/Lecturer for Innovation, International Business Studies, Contemporary Management, Strategic Management, and Entrepreneurship to both undergraduate & MBA students as well as industry professionals. She holds a doctorate degree in business administration (DBA) from Maastricht School of Management (MsM)- Maastricht University (MU)-the Netherlands, from where she previously earned her MBA. She also holds a master’s of science from Faculty of economics and political science- Cairo University; from which she earned her bachelor’s.
