Sahar Salama

Sahar Salama received her highest honor MBA from Imperial College London and her BSc in computer science with high honor from the American University in Cairo (AUC). She has three decades of experience in building platforms, developing products in innovative hi-tech space with special focus on establishing transformative propositions and creating industry-wide impact in the sectors she served.

She founded and launched TPAY MOBILE in 2014 with the aim of leveraging her extensive experience to transform cross-border micro payments in the MEA region. Salama led TPAY MOBILE for eight years where she was responsible for TPAY MOBILE’s strategy, mission, vision and overall execution / performance until the company achieved the MENA region’s first “dragon exit” in 2018.  

Prior to TPAY MOBILE, she spent 13 years right after graduation working for one of the only five global tech firms that led the Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) industry globally out of Germany. She headed tester's solutions software product line deployed across diverse sectors from missiles, airplanes, automotive and consumer electronics. She later embarked on her journey for eight years within the telecom sector. 

Currently, she is advising on multiple boards and co-founding her second MEA-focused new venture: Sandbase.com.
