Valentina Primo

Valentina Primo is an entrepreneur and a journalist with a master’s in peace studies, human rights, and EU policies. She is the founder of Startups Without Borders, an advisor for SXSW Pitch and a board member of Roma Startup. 

Her company, Startups Without Borders, builds world-class events, entrepreneurship programs and media where diversity takes center stage, offering a space for migrant, refugee and local entrepreneurs to thrive. Their annual Startups Without Borders Summit was featured amongst the Top 60 startup events to follow in 2021, and hosted 3,000 people in Egypt.

Primo has been involved in the Middle East’s entrepreneurial landscape since 2013, having launched Egypt’s largest platform on entrepreneurship, Startup Scene Middle East, in 2017. She has given speeches at conferences worldwide and was awarded the Women Economic Forum’s Women in Excellence Award in 2019.
